This is an exciting time at JFK Medical Center, we are proud to be the hospital leader in Palm Beach County. Our facility continues to produce strong volumes, superb clinical programs and the latest in technology. We have recently attained a number of major accomplishments. JFK was designated as one of the few sites in Florida, and the first in Palm Beach County, to offer transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) therapy. This promising new procedure gives hope to those considered too high risk for traditional heart valve replacement, or those who were previously considered inoperable.
In 2012, we opened the first off-site emergency services department in Palm Beach County. Our two locations in Palm Beach Gardens and Western Boynton Beach, provide the community with 24-hour access to experienced, board certified emergency room physicians, state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic equipment and a fully equipped laboratory.
JFK Medical Center was recognized as one of the 2014 Truven Health Top 50 Cardiovascular hospitals in the Country. This prestigious annual award honors hospitals that have led the way with superior performance in cardiovascular service in four key areas: outcomes of care, service-line efficiency, financial performance, and core measures alignment.
As an affiliate of University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, JFK serves as the major training site for the University’s Regional Campus Internal Medicine Residency program. As a teaching hospital, JFK Medical Center is a part of an elite group of hospitals across the U.S. as only 6 percent of hospitals in this country are teaching facilities.
Looking forward, we will continue to bring break-throughs in cardiac and cancer care, as well as the latest diagnostic tools and procedures to JFK, in order to care for the community in the best way possible.
Thank you for choosing us as your healthcare provider of choice. We look forward to caring for you and your family for many years to come.
