Adult Partial Hospitalization Program
JFK Medical Center's Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides a safe and caring setting that includes an intensive level of psychiatric treatment in an outpatient setting. The primary goal of PHP is to optimize outcomes through individualized treatment in a caring and therapeutic environment.
Individual, family and group counseling will help improve a patient's level of functioning and reduce symptoms to prevent relapse or hospitalization. Each patient participates in a formal comprehensive clinical evaluation completed by our team of clinicians, which consists of psychiatrists, social workers and registered nurses. Individualized treatment plans incorporate the results of the multidisciplinary evaluations to include the patient's strengths, limitations and goals for treatment.
Our commitment is to provide individualized care in a therapeutic group setting to help patients cope with emotional and mental difficulties, ultimately returning to their optimal level of function.
Aftercare planning is a critical part of the treatment process and begins at admission. Our treatment team will coordinate with the patient's psychiatrist, therapist or significant others to develop an aftercare plan, which may include therapy referrals, support groups or community services.
Adult Intensive Outpatient Program
JFK Medical Center's Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to treat and improve the lives of adults suffering from primarily psychiatric disorders with additional focus on co-occurring problems. IOP affords the individual the opportunity to integrate daily routines, such as work or school, and participate in treatment with flexible programming. Frequent sessions can help to maintain abstinence, improve mental health and improve quality of life. Intensive outpatient provides individuals more intensive services as group sessions occur 3 days a week.
Planning For Success
IOP is specifically designed to stabilize the condition of the individual, enhance self-understanding, teach new coping skills and eliminate symptomatic behavior.
The primary modality utilized is group therapy as clinicians facilitate 4 group therapy sessions each day. Our treatment professionals develop an individualized treatment plan to structure a program of education, skills training, therapeutic activities and special focus groups that address the patient's individual needs.
