Tobacco Treatment
JFK is one of the few facilities in South Florida that offers a comprehensive Tobacco Treatment Program. Our counselors are Registered Respiratory Therapists who are amongst a small elite group of counselors that are "Master Certified" Tobacco Treatment Specialists.
The Lung Institute provides a medically based, all encompassing program utilizing FDA recommendations for nicotine replacement therapy and current approved pharmacotherapy.
Our Tobacco Treatment Specialists will provide you with a custom program which encompasses the physical, psychological and behavioral components associated with nicotine addiction. These include carbon monoxide testing, metabolic studies, pulmonary screenings, and respiratory modalities for pulmonary clearance, one-on-one counseling, stress management, weight management, nutrition and continuous follow-up.
