JFK Medical Center is home to the most experienced Wound Management team in the region, and is staffed with skilled surgeons, physicians, nurses representing a wide range of specialties. Our dedicated medical professionals are trained to treat non-healing wounds resulting from poor circulation, venous disease, diabetes, infection, surgical procedures and other issues. Although heal-rate scores vary month-to-month, our average heal rate is consistently in the low- to mid-90s. This outstanding score is indicative of our first-rate staff, facility and practices.

Our #1 goal is to help your wound heal as quickly as possible. Our team of specialists will begin by assessing your current health, and then develop a treatment plan tailored to suit your specific needs. You should expect to visit our outpatient facility on a regular basis, where you’ll receive comprehensive instructions on home care, including dressing changes, infection prevention and education on preventing future wounds.

You’re not in this alone. From start to finish, we are totally committed to your health and treatment plan. After discharge, you will receive a call from a Wound Management nurse the next day, checking on your condition and making sure you understand all your home care instructions.
