Your First Visit
Your initial visit will include a thorough review of your health and any medications you're taking. Simple tests will be conducted to assess your circulation. Our team of specialists will then develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. The plan-designed to heal your wound as quickly as possible, will include regular visits to our outpatient facility, as well as comprehensive instructions on home care, including dressing changes, infection prevention and education on preventing future wounds.

You'll receive a call from a Wound Management nurse the next day, checking on your condition and making sure you understand all your home care instructions. We even have a team of three inpatient wound management nurses who tend to your needs and provide continuity of care in the event you become hospitalized at JFK Medical Center.
