JFK Medical Center first hospital in Palm Beach County to use new robotic technology for commonly performed Procedure
Atlantis, FL – JFK Medical Center is excited to offer the ROSA® Knee System, which combines robotic technology with industry-leading knee implants to help surgeons personalize total knee replacement surgery for their patients. The robotically-assisted surgical system assists with complex decision-making and enables surgeons to use computer and software technology to control and move surgical instruments, allowing for greater precision and flexibility during procedures.
The new robotic technology was first used on a patient this week at JFK Medical Center and the procedure highlights the hospitals commitment to investing in new technology to better serve our community.
“For everyone involved—surgeons, medical staff and, most importantly, patients—ROSA Knee has the potential to offer a number of key benefits and advantages,” said Orthopedic Surgeon, Juan Agudelo, M.D. “We know the decision to have joint replacement is often a difficult one for patients to make, and we believe these robotically-assisted technologies have the potential to make it an easier one moving forward.”
