The Program Director for the Podiatric Residency at JFK Medical Center is designated to recruit and recommend appointment of resident(s) to the Chief Medical Officer. The Program Director must select from among eligible applicants on the basis of their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
The JFK Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program participates in the Central Application Service for Podiatric Residencies (CASPR)/Centralized Residency Interview Program (CRIP), a national resident application and matching service. CASPR/CRIP is operated by the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine and administered by its Council on Teaching Hospitals (COTH). Interested applicants must apply through CASPR and submit the following information:
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal Statement
- NBPME Part I scores
- At least two letters of recommendation
- Podiatry school transcripts
